LANGUAGE SITUATION IN KAZAKHSTAN: FUNCTION OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract

The ethnolinguistic situation in Kazakhstan is heterogeneous. The polylingualism has developed in the republic and creates problems that need to be solved at the present stage of the country's ethno-cultural development. This article is devoted to one of the urgent problems of speech activity – determining how English words have entered the modern linguistic situation of the population of Kazakhstan in sociolinguistic terms.

A distinctive feature of the communicative environment in the country is the presence of multilingualism. The situation of phenomena studied in sociolinguistics, such as the linguistic situation, trilingualism and the code transition of language in the modern linguistic environment of multiethnic Kazakhstan was discussed in the article. This article is devoted to the analysis of the study of the language situation at the present stage in our state and reliable information has been obtained both in synchrony and in diachrony about the communicative behavior of native speakers, the purpose and sequence of research, as well as about language situations in a certain space. Scientific and practical significance: it is possible to understand and evaluate the language situation only by studying the use of English words in combination with the trilingualism that took place in our country, and considering its role in society. When studying the language situation, this article was devoted not only to determining the status of the language in the respondent's linguistic consciousness, but also to revealing his attitude to the language, as well as determining the level of viability of the language. The object of the article is the English linguistic component, characterized by varying degrees of adaptation in the modern language situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the article is to determine the role and place of the English linguistic component in the modern language situation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The theoretical basis of the research was the works of linguists and the theoretical foundations of the language situation. The value of the research lies in the fact that the results of the study of linguistic situations can complement theoretical problems in the field of sociolinguistics, contribute to the development. The practical value lies in the fact that the results of the study can be used in discourses, ethnolinguistics and sociolinguistic studies. The methods of scientific research are used in the work: systematization, complex analysis, comparative-typological, system-descriptive, structural and discursive analysis.
