"Aspan/Sky" is the world of astronomical names common to mankind, but each nation sees and understands this common world in its own way, creating a linguistic image of its national world. The main results were obtained by analyzing specific linguistic and cultural units related to the cosmonym "Sky" in unrelated Kazakh and English languages, which appeared in ancient times. The results of the search for the semantic features of the cosmonym "Sky" in the Kazakh and English languages make a significant theoretical and practical contribution to the development of the youngest field of onomastics - cosmonomics - in an anthropocentric direction. It allows for new insights into the fields of semasiology, linguistics, and cultural studies. In this respect, the value level of the research is determined. Research results in ethnolinguistics, linguistic and cultural studies, onomastics, etc., can be used as additional data in research, lectures, practical lessons, the compilation of dictionaries, and texts.
