The article is devoted to the problem of vocational training of teachers of elementary military training in a higher educational institution in the context of the renewal of the system of military-patriotic education of senior pupils. Substantial material of the Department of Professional Education and Pedagogy of Karaganda Technical University is presented, based on understanding the key role of the teacher's personality in the implementation of the principle of upbringing education.
