Abstract

This study is aimed at identifying historical, cultural and linguistic links in the anthroponymic system of the Turkic-speaking peoples. The article examines in detail the mutual similarities between the Turkic peoples and the Kyrgyz naming system. The analysis shows that the common historical roots and cultural values of the Turkic-speaking peoples are widely reflected in the naming system. The main purpose of the study is to determine their spiritual and cultural affinity, historical continuity by differentiating common features and differences, comparing the origin and structure of Kyrgyz names with the name systems of other Turkic peoples. The main idea is to show that similar morphological and semantic structures are often found in the anthroponymic fund of the Turkic peoples. Research objectives include identifying the origin and structure of Kyrgyz anthroponyms, determining common and distinctive features in comparison with the naming systems of Turkic peoples, analyzing the historical, cultural, and ethnolinguistic significance of names, demonstrating the influence of folklore and epic tradition on the modern naming system.

Comparative historical, descriptive, and ethnolinguistic methods were used in the study. A review of the names of the Turkic peoples (Kazakh, Uzbek, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Tatar, Bashkir, etc.) has been conducted, and a comparative analysis of Kyrgyz names has been conducted. For example, various variants of the names «Zhyldyz», «Tengirbergen», «Bayram», «Omirbek», «Berkut» are found in the funds of pronouns of different Turkic peoples. Attention is also drawn to the influence of names in heroic epics and folklore samples on the modern naming system.  The most common roots of names, semantic similarities and ethnic codes have become the subject of study.

The study showed a high degree of preservation of ancient Turkic elements in Kyrgyz names and proved that many names have a common use in Turkic peoples. The scientific and practical significance of the work is in the fact that it allows for a deeper understanding of Turkic culture, onomastic processes, and historical roots. The study shows that names are a mirror not only of a name, but also of a certain historical period, epochal consciousness, and national existence.
