Abstract

This article examines the use of gamification elements in the process of teaching the Kazakh language. In the modern education system, the use of innovative technologies and digital tools is an important condition for improving the quality of education. In this context, gamification is considered a contemporary method aimed at enhancing students’ learning motivation, increasing their engagement, and developing language skills.

The purpose of the study is to identify the methodological foundations for the effective use of game elements in teaching Kazakh as a second or foreign language and to determine their impact on learning outcomes. The research employed comparative analysis, observation, practical implementation, and pedagogical experiment methods.

The main idea of the study is that gamification, by making the learning process more emotional and interactive, contributes to increasing students’ cognitive activity and deeper acquisition of learning material. The article analyzes gamification elements used on digital platforms such as Duolingo, Memrise, Rosetta Stone, and FluentU, as well as their application in teaching the Kazakh language.

The research results show that game elements increase students’ interest and active participation and enable the comprehensive development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. In addition, the practical effectiveness of methods such as quizzes, role-playing games, and interactive tasks on the topic of time management has been demonstrated.

In conclusion the systematic use of gamification in teaching Kazakh optimizes the learning process and enhances students’ communicative competence and self-development skills. The scientific and practical significance of the study lies in substantiating the necessity of purposefully integrating gamification into educational programs as an innovative approach to language teaching.
