ADAPTIVE STRATEGY FOR THE FORMATION OF CROSS-CULTURAL COMPETENCE

Abstract

The article discusses an adaptation strategy for mastering intercultural competence, in order to facilitate the achievement of mutual understanding when communicating with a native speaker of a foreign language. The formation of this competence involves a number of consistently performed actions: defining the concept of "intercultural competence", identifying the components of intercultural competence, describing various types of competencies, using them in the process of intercultural communication.
