Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of translation of lacunas in political discourse and conducts linguocultural and translational analysis of lacunas identified from official speeches of political figures. The overall conclusion is that the peculiarities of political discourse determine the specificity of the lacunas it contains and the ways of their elimination in translation. The study reveals the most common types of gaps, the most and the least used methods of their translation.
