The scientific journal «Bulletin. Series «Philological sciences» publishes scientific articles on topical issues of social and humanitarian science. The editorial board, reviewers and authors of the journal strive to comply with high standards of scientific and publication ethics: transparency of interaction between the editorial board and authors of the journal, free access to publications.

The journal is published in accordance with the following basic principles of editorial policy:

  • - The editorial board of the journal is guided in its activity by the principles of professionalism, objectivity, scientific character, impartiality. Authors, editor-in-chief, executive editor, members of the editorial board of the journal have ethical obligations related to the preparation of a scientific publication and the dissemination of the results of scientific research.
  • All articles of the journal undergo mandatory blind peer review.
  • Copyright is respected in accordance with the legislative and regulatory acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • The content of other types of publications does not exceed 10% (ten) of the total number of articles in the issue. At the same time, the author or a group of authors make a significant contribution to the concept, scientific design, execution or interpretation of the declared scientific research and the creation of a scientific article.
  • The timeliness of the declared frequency of the publication of the scientific publication is observed.
  • The presence of articles by foreign authors, as well as articles in foreign languages ​​(including in English) in each issue of the journal.
  • Scientific articles of authors not affiliated with the publisher make up at least 50% (fifty) of the number of publications in each issue of the journal.
  • The prevalence of a scientific publication in foreign citation systems or the presence of the impact factor of a journal in the Kazakhstan citation base.
  • The presence in the editorial board of scientists who have articles in the international databases Web of Science or Scopus.
  • Reviewing scientific papers by scientists or specialists on the relevant topic using double-blind peer review in order to ensure the quality of the published article, the correctness and reliability of the presentation of the results.
  • Availability of annotations, keywords and information about authors - names, affiliations (organization name), country name, and addresses of all authors of publications (including indicating the main author for correspondence in the form "*").
  • The presence of DOI (hereinafter - DOI) for each article, which is a digital identifier of the object for a unique and permanent online identification of the content of the journal.
  • Use of the licensed system "Strikeplagiarism.com" for plagiarism checks, including against international databases.
  • Informational openness of a scientific publication - the presence of its own electronic site (page) of a scientific publication.
  • Publication ethics, which specifies the responsibilities and rights of editors, reviewers and authors, as well as measures to identify conflicts of interest, unethical behavior.
  • The journal supports and uses the COPE principles.

Purpose and thematic areas of the journal:

The journal aims to initiate interdisciplinary discussions, facilitate the exchange of perspectives, and synthesize the experiences of researchers and educational practitioners from Kazakhstan and abroad.

The journal «Bulletin. Series: «Philological sciences» considers the following thematic areas: topical problems of linguistic research, research in the field of theory and practice of translation, literary criticism: traditions and modernity, scientific and pedagogical tools in teaching foreign languages.

The journal is published 4 times a year.

Archiving and availability: This journal provides a direct open access to its content, the content of issues for the last twelve months and an archive of issues of past years with access to the content.
The journal is archived in the Republican Interuniversity Electronic Library.
