Abstract

Abstract. Nowadays, great changes are taking place in the social, economic and political system, thanks to which various terms and concepts began to appear in our native language. We can state that environmental problems are one of the most pressing problems in the world. Today, environmental problems are growing, and the number of translations of various publications on this topic is increasing as well. The main purpose of the work is to identify the structural features of the English lexeme in the context of environmental discourse and to give a general description. On the basis of analytical work, it was necessary to study the ecological discourse, to determine the features of translation from English into Kazakh. The main reason for the individual and general description of the concept of ecological discourse, as well as the definition of its content, is that the problem of ecology is characterized by a discursive effect on the activities of society.

This work is devoted to the features of modern environmental discourse. This article is about how environmental discourse is aimed at a specific recipient and provides some examples on this subject. The relevance of the work is due to the great public interest in environmental issues, as well as the attention of linguists to the study of many texts of the genre that occur in different situations. It has been proven that there are special criteria for identifying potential recipients of information on environmental discourse. It has been shown that the organization of the text of ecological discourse on the basis of current articles in the English journals like "Ecologist", "National Geographic", "Concerned Scientists" and "Organic Matters" depends on the potential addressee. There is also a comprehensive definition of discourse, environmental discourse and its classifications. In this work, we have discovered that organization of environmental discourse texts directly depends on the potential recipient.

Changes in the economy, culture, science and education in society contribute to the strengthening of the state status of our native language. Accordingly, the development of a terminological system based on discourse in each area is becoming one of the most serious problems. The study widely used descriptive, lexical-semantic, analytical, structural analysis and comparative methods. Environmental terms reflected in English environmental discourses are translated into Kazakh mainly through strategies such as transliteration, transcription, calque, literal translation, explication or description. Eco-linguistics can be introduced as a special subject in philological faculties. The results of the work can be used in conducting courses on this topic, as well as in practical and seminars on linguistics and terminology.
