Abstract

In this article, works written on military topics were considered in a historical socio-cultural context.

The main purpose of the research article is to determine the cognitive specifics of the concept of "war" in the works written on war topics.

The content features of works written on the theme of war in the world and Kazakh literature were taken as the basis. In the course of the study, the main ideological purpose of the works was analyzed.

The research topic is focused on M. Makataev’s works. The scientific significance of the work is the cognitive feature of the concept of war in the works of poets and writers based on conducting a comparative historical analysis of works written on the theme of war.

The empirical and inductive comparative methods are used in the study as well.

In the works of representatives of Kazakh literature, the theme of war differs from the work of the authors of the lost generation. Thus, works written on this topic are relevant in the history of literature. The specific features of the transfer of the concept of "war" in Kazakh literature are revealed.

The scientific conclusions of the study contribute to the addition and deepening of studies related to comparative literature.

The results of the study can be used in teaching disciplines such as Kazakh literature, world literature, literary criticism.
