PROBLEMS OF THE EMERGENCE OF COMPETING TRANSLATIONS (ON THE BASIS OF TRANSLATIONS OF ABSURD LITERATURE)

Abstract

For many years, the translation of a literary text has been of great interest among theorists and practitioners of translation. The science of translation is always in motion and in development, since the lexical composition of the language is constantly undergoing changes and updates, and hence the problem of translation remains relevant all the time. Moreover, modern vocabulary and language units, a new perception of the world, and current literature create difficulties in translation. From a scientific point of view, the emergence of translation diversity is natural and justifies the constant need for new translations. Re-translation is mainly carried out on literary texts, rather than scientific or technical texts. In turn, since the literature of the absurdity is considered as a literary text, the study and analysis of translations of the literature of the absurdity will help to uncover the cause of the translation diversity.

The purpose of the research is to reveal the issues of the emergence of translation diversity on the basis of translations of the absurd literature. The following tasks were identified to achieve this goal: to identify the cause of the emergence of translation diversity of literary texts, to analyze translations of the literature of the absurd, to determine translation solutions to achieve an adequate translation of the absurd literature.

The methods of comparative analysis, discursive analysis through the identification of the linguistic features of the text and descriptive methods were used in the work.

As studies of recent years show, the study of the translation of the literature of the absurdity is of great theoretical and practical interest for linguists, literary critics, philologists and translators. The theoretical and practical significance of the study is manifested in the possibility of using its results in translation studies and philology, in the practice of teaching courses on the translation of literary texts. Now in Kazakhstan there is only an interest in the literature of the absurdity among readers, linguists and translators. In this regard, the aesthetics of the absurdity for Kazakh readers is still something new and actual. The main result of the research work is to establish that the main causes of translation diversity are incorrect interpretation of the original text by the translator, translation errors and linguistic discrepancies.
