TRANSLATION OF REALIA IN B. SOKPAKBAYEV'S NOVEL "MY NAME IS KOZHA" (BASED ON THE ORIGINAL AND TRANSLATED VERSIONS)

Abstract

In this article there were analyzed the original translations of realia in the story of the writer Berdibek Sokpakbaev “My name is Kozha” into Russian and English and the author also made scientific conclusions by analyzing and discussing the research results.

The scientific goal, main directions and ideas of the research during the analysis of the examples given in this article substantiated the importance of foreignisation in the translation by the Kazakh translator of the original into Russian or English and direct translation into the second language.

The scientific and practical significance of the study lies in the fact that a comparison based on the works of Russian and Kazakh scientists - translators so translated versions of realia in the story of the writer B. Sokpakbaev “My name is Kozha” develops practice and theory, quality, criticism of literary translation in Kazakh/Russian, Kazakh/English language pairs.

The research methodology is based on the concepts and theories of Kazakh scientists – translators Zh. Dadebaev and A. Aldasheva that the comparative method occupies a special place in the analysis of the original and translated texts in literary translation.

Based on the results of the research work of honored scientists in the field of Kazakh translatology, the authors of the article prove that a direct translation from Kazakh into English of the story of the writer B. Sokpakbaev “My name is Kozha” contributes to the preservation and domestication of the ethno-semantic layers of national realia in the original and facilitates the process education of future translators.

The value of the study lies in the fact that Kazakh literary scholars and linguists examined the linguistic personality and cognitive aspect of the characters in the story of the writer Berdibek Sokpakbaev “My name is Kozha”, the problem of character and situation, artistic and aesthetic aspects and artistic skill of the writer, but the analysis of the features of the translation of realia in Russian and English languages are not provided in the field of Kazakh translation studies, therefore the study of this article contributes to the development of Kazakh translatology.

As a result of the study, it was investigated that in translating realia in the original into Russian and English, the translator must be a specialist who not only has a high level of translation theory and bilingualism, but also has a comprehensive knowledge of the national and cultural characteristics of recipients of both languages and the spiritual, psychological and cognitive children's perceptions.
