In today's globalized era of education and science, it is observed that the future specialist will not be able to enter the global scientific space, and his competitiveness in the professional and scientific environment will be limited without deep learning of academic literacy skills. The need to consider the scientific and methodological possibilities of mastering the writing of academic texts, improving it, mastering it through modeling shows the relevance of the research work. Based on the works of domestic and foreign scientists, the purpose of the work is to differentiate the types, structure, and ways of creation of linguistic models. The task of the work is to select suitable models for teaching academic text genres through a fundamental study of global and domestic modeling practice, to create a model by defining its structure and content. As a result of studying the types of models proposed by scientists using the methods of analysis and synthesis, the graphic model of K. Zhubanov was selected and based on it a model of a scientific article was created. The value of learning to write academic text types using a graphic model is the model's simplicity, ease of use, and accurate presentation of the content of the original, showing the text types step by step. By using a graphical model, it will be useful for students to write essays and their structural parts, structural parts of a scientific article, thesis and abstract.
