This article is devoted to the consideration of political discourse, in particular the national characteristics of speeches of politicians from different countries. It is obvious that in order to convince the public of the speaker's goals, political speeches are often shaped in a specific cultural and social context.
The purpose of the study is to understand the national characteristics that are specific to political discourse in different countries. The article makes an attempt, based on the speeches of politicians, to trace the interaction between political and national discourses. Main directions and ideas: in the course of the study, views on the problem were considered based on well-known articles and works of authors in the scientific literature, a discourse analysis of the research materials was carried out. Scientific significance of the work is determined by the fact that the combination of different approaches to discourse analysis contribute to the full interpretation of the speeches under consideration. Practical significance of this work is determined by the fact that the results obtained can be applied in further ethnolinguistic researches.
The methodology for studying the national characteristics of political discourse is discourse analysis. This analysis provides a broader and more comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon of political discourse in various national and political contexts.
This study presents an analysis of the speeches and speeches of politicians (Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Theresa May, Donald Trump and Angela Merkel) in order to determine the presence of political and national discourse in their context. The analysis revealed common features in the speeches of these politicians, where they emphasize the importance of national identity, political ambitions and cultural values.
The findings of the study facilitated to understand the worldview and priorities of politicians, their speeches and activities. The conducted research on the national features of political discourse is of value both for politicians and the scientific community.
