Abstract

The article discusses dialogues in the rhetorical discourse. Dialogues make it obvious what the speaker states and what they conceal. The listener's comprehension of the orator's communicative intention leads to a successful dialogue.

The aim of the study is to analyze the structure of the rhetorical dialogue along with identifying the types of rhetorical questions and rhetorical dialogues.

The scientific significance of the study: approaching the rhetorical dialogue and identifying the types of rhetorical questions. Such questions have a unique aesthetic function. The orator and the listener are face-to-face, waiting for each other's responses. Through inquiries, following issues are predicted and realized. Every question asked by an orator is considered right and appropriate. Also, the orator seeks solutions to vital problems, evoking reaction. Such questions are called rhetorical, as they intensify the speaker-listener connection.

Practical significance of the research: The results and scientific conclusions of the research work can be used in the field of lexicology, discourse, ethnolinguistics in Kazakh linguistics and in elective courses in higher educational institutions.

The following methods were used: structuring dialogic fragments, structural-semantic, communicative-pragmatic, complex analysis of text.

The following scientific conclusions were drawn:

- In the question-answer dialogues, the speech idea and the spiritual values of the orator help draw moral-ethical conclusions and unveil the mysteries of human life, society, nature and existence.

- Dialogues belong to specific conversational genres based on the types of communicative intentions and the opinion exchange among the interlocutors.

- The linguocultural aspect of rhetorical dialogues is demonstrated by the fact that they have the characteristics of folkloric riddles, tongue twisters, poems, taboos, and proverbs, fulfilling the functions of consoling, notifying, mourning, and expressing condolences.

- Rhetorical dialogues are prominent examples of Kazakh dialogue.
