Abstract

The research work is devoted to identifying the gender characteristics of the interview discourse. Interviews are not only a journalistic genre, but also a component of human life. The ability to build the right relationships in society is a necessary trait of any person. The interview is based on the thoughts of the interviewer. A good interviewer is measured by the ability of the addressee and the interviewee to compose a successful communication act, the realization of an intention and the achievement of a communicative goal.

The purpose of the study is to identify the gender characteristics of the interview discourse by examining interviews with both male and female TV presenters.

The scientific significance of the study lies in the fact that the interview discourse is valuable for its first analysis of gender characteristics. During the interview, it turned out that male TV presenters are prone to manipulation. It is clarified that the communication activities of female TV presenters during the interview will be directed directly at the communicant creating the dialogue. Using examples, it was proved that several topics are discussed in one interview, flexibility in interviews, frequent parsing of words during a conversation with the addressee, and pragmatic features of the female language in their emotions. The results of the study complement the interview discourse with fresh conclusions.

The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that the results and conclusions of the research can be used as an auxiliary tool in teaching scientific disciplines related to the fields of communication theory, discourse, and gender linguistics.

In the course of the study, an analytical method was used to differentiate interviews, a description method for drawing conclusions, methods of comparison, generalization, generalization in the analysis of interviews.

The following scientific conclusions were made during the study:

- The role of communicants participating in the interview discourse contributes to a more lively and systematic conduct of interviews. An interview based on a successful communication act affects the listening side, strengthening the communicative and pragmatic connection between the interviewer and the interviewer.

- Male TV presenters are often manipulated when composing interviews;

- Female TV presenters often use suggestive language units to fully reveal their character;

- During the interview, men's communication activity decreases and slows down, and women are more inclined to build interviews and make various techniques of pragmatic psychological speech of the interviewee;

- Women interrupt the interviewee more often than men. This is due to the depth of women's ability to flexibly direct interviews in the right direction, and the breadth of opportunities to quickly navigate.
