MANIFESTATION OF NATIONAL IDENTITY AND CULTURE: IN THE CONTEXT OF NUMERAL PHRASEOLOGY (BASED ON MATERIALS OF KAZAKH, RUSSIAN, ENGLISH)

Abstract

This article analyzes the differences and peculiarities of phraseological units with numerals in the structure of names in Kazakh, Russian and English.  The purpose of the scientific research is to study the national cultural and cognitive character of phraseological units with a numeral name in these languages. The main directions of our work are the expansion of the scope of such fields of science as comparative linguistics, lexicology, phraseology, linguoculturology.

The scientific significance of our research work lies in the fact that research as the basis of national values in phraseological units peculiar to each nation is a relevant scientific field that allows for a deeper study of the relationship between language and culture, national cognition, as well as intercultural understanding. This research makes an important contribution not only to the field of linguistics, but also to the field of ethnolinguistics, cultural studies, and translation studies.

The methodological basis of the research consists of comparative and comparative lexicographic methods. The semantic analysis of phraseological units containing numerals is carried out.

As a result of studying phraseological units with a numeral name in three languages, the following conclusion was made: despite the fact that the general fund of phraseological units in Kazakh, Russian, and English has been widely studied, it has been established that a comparative study of the features of linguistic manifestation, common features, individual characteristics, causes and consequences of the formation of phraseological units in these languages as stable This is a new achievement that has not yet been carried out in Russian linguistics. It also served as a basis for defining universal and national characteristics. With the help of phraseological units available in each language, it becomes possible to compare the features of the worldview of the people.

Despite the fact that enough research is currently being conducted on new areas of linguistics, a comparative study of this problem shows the value of studying phraseological units with a numeral name. The article can be used in the educational process as theoretical and practical material in the disciplines of Comparative Linguistics, Linguistic Problems of Translation.

The practical significance of the research findings lies in the fact that the results of comparing phraseological units with a numeral name in Kazakh, Russian and English make it possible to understand the connection of phraseological units in the language with the cultural life of nations, differentiate their semantic, structural features, and identify the main typological features.
