Abstract

This study is devoted to the phenomenon of the lyrical hero in contemporary Kazakh poetry and its psychological interpretation. The research is based on the works of one of the prominent representatives of modern Kazakh poetry, the poet E. Zhunis. The introduction of the scholarly article presents a review of research works devoted to the essence of lyrical poetry and the ways in which psychologism manifests itself in poetic texts.

The aim of the study is to determine the level of psychological representation of the lyrical hero in contemporary Kazakh poetry, as well as to analyze the hero’s inner world, emotional experiences, and the artistic means of their expression. The main research directions include the analysis of the emotional and psychological image of the lyrical hero and psychological interpretation through the author’s poetic strategies and linguistic devices.

The research methodology is based on comparative, contextual, and analytical approaches, as well as on theoretical principles of psychologism. In addition, methods of semiotic and psychoanalytic text analysis are employed.

The main findings demonstrate that in the poetry of E. Zhunis, the lyrical hero possesses a complex psychological structure: through internal dialogue, as well as symbolic and metaphorical techniques, the author’s emotional world, social anxieties, and moral quests are revealed. The internal psychological dynamics of the lyrical hero significantly influence the overall emotional tone of the poetic work. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of the psychological interpretation of the lyrical hero in contemporary Kazakh poetry from the

perspectives of literary theory and criticism, as well as its role in revealing the author’s creative individuality.

The scholarly value of the study lies in proposing new directions for the academic analysis of lyrical psychology in Kazakh poetry and in introducing methods of psychological analysis into the study of the contemporary literary process.

In accordance with the research object, the theoretical framework of the study draws on the works of Kazakh literary scholars such as Z. Akhmetov (Poeziya shyńy – danalyq), S. Makpyrouly (Adamtanu), T. Shapai (Oi tübinde jatqan söz), among others, as well as on studies by international scholars including

  1. Ya. Ginzburg (On Lyric Poetry), B. O. Korman (Theory of Literature), S. N. Broitman (The Lyrical Subject), and others. During the research, the concept of emotional tone, the subjective nature of lyric poetry, and instances in which poetic symbols are associatively correlated with psychological content were analyzed.
