Abstract

Khoja Ahmed Yasawi's "Wisdom" is one of the most valuable examples of the spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples and is considered as an important source in the study of cultural vocabulary. The purpose of the study is to identify the influence of the expansion and narrowing of the meaning of words on the vocabulary as a result of linguistic processes, as well as to scientifically substantiate the main sources of enrichment of cultural vocabulary. In this context, the Samarkand (Zaleman) transcribed handwritten version is taken as a basis and the features of the language layers and their influence on the cultural vocabulary are considered.

The relevance of the article is that the units included in the vocabulary of the language undergo semantic changes in historical periods, alternating between active and passive use, as well as the enrichment of cultural vocabulary through the interaction of the Arabic, Persian and Turkic layers. Quoting these processes with specific language data is an important issue in modern linguistics.

In the course of the study, descriptive, historical-comparative, linguistic and philological-source-scientific methods are used. Arabic and Persian words in yassawi use are differentiated, their sound, word formation and semantic features are analyzed. In addition, attention is paid to such terms as "intrusive words","barbarism","aelogism", "neolexism", and their place in the cultural lexicon is determined

The value of the article is related to the following conclusions: firstly, for the correct recognition of the language of Yassawi's works, it is necessary to consider manuscripts and publications separately; secondly, to differentiate and clarify the functions of language units that contribute to the development of vocabulary; thirdly, the development of the Arab-Persian layer in dialogue with the original Turkic basis and acquire a new meaning through historical semantic changes.

The results of the study reveal the contribution of cultural vocabulary in Yassawi's works in the language layers, deepen not only theoretically, but also increase its practical significance.
