GENRE TYPES AND FEATURES OF MASS LITERATURE

Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive literary analysis of the genres and characteristics of mass literature from a literary studies perspective. Mass literature is considered a collection of artistic works aimed at a wide readership, shaped by the demands of modern consumer culture and popular aesthetics. The study examines the historical development, ideological and cultural functions, genre typologies, and artistic features of mass literature.

The mainpurpose of the researchis to determine the placeandimportance of massliteratureinsociety, to evaluate the artisticpossibilities of massliteratureon a scientificbasisand to consideritas an importantpart of the literaryprocess.Thestudynotesthatmassliteraturehas a highpotential for influencingthepublic,butaestheticrequirementsdiffercomparedtofiction. Using theexample of modernKazakhliterature, thearticlehighlights the processes of adaptation of massliterarygenrestonationalcharacterandtransformationinaccordancewithreaders' tastes. The scientificsignificance of the workliesin the factthat the image of the citydepictedinliteraryworks is distinguished by the formationinmodernKazakhliteratureand the differentiation of artistictechniquesusedinitscreation,and the definition of a newdirectionin the literaryprocess.

In the course of the research, thehermeneuticmethod was used in the interpretation of a literarytext, and acomparativeresearchmethod was used todetermine the specifics of workswrittenin the postmodernstream. In addition,for the effectiveness of a scientificarticleinthestudy, foreignanddomesticscientificpapers were used todetermine the structural and typologicalnature of comparativeanalysis.

The results obtained in the research work can be used in teaching such theoretical courses at universities as mass and online literature, theory and poetics of literature, and in studying the formation of new trends in modern literary studies. The value of the research is characterized by the reflection of new trends in the modern literary process and the ways of forming mass literature of a new character. Through the main conclusions obtained in the conclusion of the article, it is possible to express modern concepts and the worldview and philosophy of life of a modern person, formed by the works of mass literature in modern Kazakh literature.
