There are practically no scientific works and scientific articles devoted to new religious names in the modern Kazakh language. But this issue is one of the topical topics requiring study. It is connected with the fact that the sphere of application of new religious names in our language is rapidly growing, and they displace our native words from language use. The purpose of this study is to identify the reasons for the emergence and spread of new religious names in the Kazakh and Turkic languages, and to analyze their semantic and functional features. The article analyzes the religious names used by the asset in the modern Kazakh language. The reasons for the intensive use of religious names in our language are determined by a survey. The object of the article's research – new religious names in the Kazakh language – is summarized based on the responses of respondents who took part in the survey, and the «Dictionary of Religious Terms» by R.S. Mukhitdinov is used in the analysis of their meanings. During the study of new religious names with religious names that entered our language at an early stage, the modern new religious names were examined in a comparative light, and the differences were revealed by concrete evidence. It can be concluded that the reason for the active entry into the linguistic use of new religious names in our language is directly related to the influence of Islam in our country. This was clearly evident from the results of the survey conducted for this purpose. In the course of the study, the works of scientists were reviewed as theoretical material on this topic, and it was related to the practical material. The answers of the respondents regarding the questions of each survey were fully analyzed, the factors related to the formation of new religious names in our language were studied in detail, and conclusions were made. Based on the analysis, the main lexical and semantic features of the new terms are identified. In the future, it is recommended to conduct a relatively broader analysis of religious vocabulary in other Turkic languages and study its impact on youth slang and media discourse.
