The object of the article is the philological heritage of Shamgali Sarybayev and his contemporaries. The work provides a comparative review of the authors' works, identifies their specific aspects and main dimensions of their contribution to oriental philology. Comparative analysis and content interpretation are taken as the methodological basis, all connections are made based on the data of original texts and critical literature. The results of the study showed that there are common and distinctive features in the methods of interpreting literary texts and analyzing linguistic phenomena: Sarybayev primarily gave priority to systematization, typification, and classification of linguistic data; while his contemporaries paid more attention to cultural-historical and social aspects. These conclusions prove that each author played an important role in the formation and development of Kazakh philology; in particular, Sarybayev's works are characterized by methodological rigor and innovative classification of data. The article clarifies the pedagogical and practical significance of Sarybayev's legacy, and shows its place in the modern Kazakh language teaching methodology and system of linguistic research. Revealing the continuity and differences of the authors' works allows us to reflect the evolution of intellectual traditions in the history of national science. Thus, the study is assessed as an important step aimed not only at explaining the logic of the development of the history and culture of the Kazakh language, but also at supplementing the theoretical foundations of modern linguistics. The project gives impetus to the improvement of methodological approaches in philology, to a new understanding of the current problems of national science. The practical significance is the possibility of introducing the obtained conclusions into research in philology and linguistics, as well as into educational programs on the Kazakh language and literature. In general, the work proves the importance of combining multidisciplinary approaches in the study of language and literature.
