THE PROBLEM OF TRANSFORMATION OF CHINESE ONYMS IN KAZAKH-LATIN GFAPHICS

Abstract

The article considers the issue of transformation of Chinese onyms in Kazakh-Latin graphics. Also, a comparative analysis of the sounds of the Chinese transcription alphabet and the advanced Kazakh-Latin alphabet revealed common and unique sounds in both languages. Types of transcription and transliteration and effective ways and projects to maximize the adaptation of onyms to the Chinese transcription system and to approximate the sound imageare considered.           The reform of the country's transition to Latin script in the future will cover all spheres of our society, including foreign languages. Chinese onyms are one of the unexplored topics in the Kazakh language. The issue of their transliteration in the Kazakh-Cyrillic script is still unresolved. Names of Chinese companies, names of organizations, names of Chinese people are still written on the basis of the Cyrillic Palladian Transcription System, there is no standard of sequential writing in the Kazakh language, no specific system. In textbooks and manuals, scientific literature and dictionaries published in Russian in China, the onomastic names of the Chinese language are written according to the Palladium Transcription System. However, the Cyrillic Palladium transcription system has many shortcomings. Since there are many sounds in Chinese that are not in Russian, there are many problems in transliterating Chinese words, such as inaccurate sound delivery. And in the Kazakh-Latin graphics there is a problem of transliteration or transcription, to avoid these shortcomings and to bring the sounds in line with the laws of synharmonism. Therefore, research in this area is of great value in the field of onomastics of the country and in the formation of spelling rules and principles of foreign words written in the Latin alphabet.          

The conclusions and analysis of the paper can be used in the comparative study and research of Chinese and Kazakh phonetics, research in the field of onomastics of the Chinese language.
