Abstract

The article is devoted to the review of modern concepts in translation studies. Translation is considered as a type and component of cross-cultural communication, the analysis of the definitions of the concept of translation and the role of the thesaurus in the communication process is given. The advantages, disadvantages and prospects of machine translation in the era of digitalization are noted, as well as the associated ways of rational training of specialists in the field of translation studies.
