THE CONCEPT OF THE ARABIC TERM «KAUL» USED IN ABAI'S POEM

Abstract

Abai's creative heritage is being comprehensively studied in the humanitarian direction. One drawback lies in considering the textual side of the poet's works. In particular, the terminological meaning of Arabic words in philosophical works was not disclosed. In general, the lexical layer of Abai's works from the Arabic-Persian language has not been studied in principle.

The purpose of the article is to determine the conceptual and semantic specifics of the Arabic-language logical and philosophical terms used in the text of Abai's poem.

The article analyzes the term "Kaul", which is often found in Arabic-language medieval intellectual texts (religious texts, logical-factual treatises) that have not been considered by textual scholars or do not reveal the meaning of the term used in Abai's poem "Allah is light".

In the course of preaching the doctrine of faith, Knowledge of Allah (Maǵrıfatý Allah), based on the philosophical and religious synthesis, Abai introduces original concepts into his philosophical texts using terms and reflects the special scientific cognitive terminology formed by medieval Arab philosophers in his poetic work.

The author cites the statements of Islamic scholars, including in the Logical and philosophical treatises of Al-Farabi, expressed by orientalists in the context of the medieval Arab intellectual context of the teaching of religion regarding the use of the term "Kaul" in the use of Abay.

Methods of description, analysis, and retrospective research were used in the study.

The presence of new conclusions about the meaning of the analyzed term, which were not previously mentioned, indicates the novelty of the article. Moreover, the absence of religious, religious-philosophical, and logical terms in Abai's works determines the relevance of the study.

The practical significance of the results of the work lies in the fact that the article can be used as an additional educational material in preparation for lectures and seminars on the cycle of literary disciplines in higher educational institutions.
