Abstract

This article discusses current problems and prospects for the study of linguistics in modern realities. The relevance of the study is due to rapid changes in society and the development of technologies that affect the use of language and communication. The novelty of the work lies in the experimental study of the influence of the lexical coloring of the text on the perception of ethnocultural stereotypes in the educational environment. A comparative study of the reactions of philology students to texts with neutral and emotional-evaluative vocabulary when describing ethnocultural characteristics was conducted, which made it possible to quantitatively assess the degree of influence of linguistic means on the formation of intercultural ideas in the learning process.

The purpose of our study is to identify the influence of the lexical coloring of the text on the perception of ethnocultural stereotypes by philology students studying in the program "Russian Language and Literature" in a multinational educational environment. The work used the structural method (I.A. Baudouin de Courtenay, F. de Saussure, N. Chomsky) to analyze the organization of lexical units in experimental texts, the method of component analysis to identify the semantic components of evaluative vocabulary and the sociolinguistic method to take into account social factors influencing the linguistic perception of respondents.

In the context of the analysis of the current state of linguistic science, the article summarizes and systematizes four key areas widely represented in modern scientific literature. They are considered as challenges and at the same time as promising vectors for the development of linguistics: preserving linguistic diversity; the dilemma of perceiving language as a system of rules or as a discursive text; integrating quantitative methods into linguistic analysis; and the importance of the diachronic approach for understanding the evolution of language. The identification of these areas was the result of a theoretical analysis of domestic and foreign sources, as well as empirical material collected in the context of studying the influence of lexical coloring on the perception of ethnocultural stereotypes. The practical value of the study lies in the possibility of applying its findings in developing educational methods for teaching disciplines related to the Russian language for students studying in the specialty "6B01702 - Russian Language and Literature.

Overall, linguistics holds a significant place in the modern world, as language serves as the primary means of communication and interaction. The study of language and its functioning allows not only to better understand other people and cultures, but also to create new technologies for communication and improving intercultural relations.
