Abstract

I In traditional linguistics, language is considered as a system of symbols consisting of various levels. Linguistics studies morphology, morphemes, their types, formation methods, and grammatical meaning. The combination of phonemes into independent linguistic units with meaning forms morphemes, while inflection is examined within the field of morphology. However, the dependence of morphology on other linguistic levels and processes—such as reading, speaking, spelling, and semantics—as well as the neural mechanisms underlying it, remain insufficiently explored. The relevance of this research stems from the need for a neurolinguistic analysis of the internal structure of words in language, particularly the connection between morphological phenomena and the functioning and structure of the brain. The scientific novelty of the work lies in identifying the psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic features of how morphological phenomena are formed in the brain and transformed into linguistic units. The aim of the article is to investigate the process of morphological structure formation in the brain, as well as the neurological characteristics of the thousands of linguistic combinations that occur within it. The scientific significance of the study is evident in the exploration of neurolinguistic features of morphological units, the functional flexibility of language, and its role in the reception, processing, and transmission of information. These aspects are of both theoretical and practical importance in language acquisition and speech disorder correction. During the study, methods of description, comparison, associative analysis, and modeling were applied. The practical significance of the study lies in the potential use of its conclusions and results in delivering lectures on neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and language theory, as well as serving as theoretical material for master’s and doctoral students.
