Abstract

The purpose of this article is to conduct a scholarly investigation of materials and heritage related to the Kazakh language and culture, collected among the Kazakh diaspora in the regions of Russia. Special attention is given to issues of preserving and developing the culture and language of the Kazakh diaspora.
The article examines the identification of national characteristics of the Kazakh diaspora and the reasons for the integration of national cultural values with contemporary foreign cultures. The concepts of diaspora and Kazakh diaspora are analyzed.
The study addresses ways of preserving national identity and directions for the further development of the Kazakh diaspora. It aims to reveal the role of the diaspora in strengthening ethnocultural and social ties between Kazakhstan and Russia.
Based on specific linguistic data, the study demonstrates phenomena of bilingualism, code-switching, and hybrid speech behavior in the linguistic system of the Kazakh diaspora. In addition, the semantic and pragmatic transformation of national cultural lexicon (e.g., names of traditional clothing) is described, and a dynamic model of the diasporic linguistic environment is proposed.
To study the information and materials published in scientific articles and journals about Kazakhs living in the Russian Federation (the diaspora), comparative and selective methods were used. Based on the collected information, a selection process was conducted. The selection method was applied based on the relevance of the collected materials to the scientific subject of the article's topic. Based on the selected facts and information, theoretical assumptions and conclusions were drawn. The analysis included comparison and synthesis of the information. The combination of these methods allowed for a comprehensive and objective assessment of the current linguistic and social status of the Kazakh diaspora in Russia.
The research findings can be used in practical classes and independent work for courses in Sociolinguistics and Kazakh Language Lexicology at higher education institutions.
