The first professor of Kazakh philology, K. K. Zhubanov, was an outstanding scholar who left a significant mark in various fields of linguistics. According to researchers of his legacy, he was engaged in all areas of linguistic studies, leaving no aspect of Kazakh linguistics unattended. Analyzing his preserved works, one can see that they cover phonetics, grammar, the history of the Kazakh language, Kazakh writing, orthography, terminology, stylistics, textbooks, teaching methods, and curricula.
The purpose of this article is to analyze the mastery with which the scholar conveyed his scientific ideas to the general public, i.e., to evaluate his stylistic cognition. Among his major journalistic works that have reached us are "Abai – the Classic of Kazakh Literature," "Revolution and the National Language of the Kazakhs," and "On the Origin of the Kui Genre in Kazakh Music."
The scientific novelty of the article lies in the study of distinctive syntactic constructions, characteristic figurative expressions, and original linguistic solutions of the scholar. An analysis of his authorial style is conducted with examples. It has also been established that the scholar did not simply introduce terminology into his texts but adapted it to the understanding of the Kazakh people, using an expressive and accessible style.
In his scientific article "Revolution and the National Language of the Kazakhs," the scholar-journalist emphasized the integrity and uniformity of the Kazakh language, linking these characteristics to internal and external historical factors that developed between the 14th and 18th centuries. This confirms that he was not only a linguist but also a broad-profile philologist and orientalist.
The article also explores the scholar's style of material presentation based on specific examples. The research methodology includes techniques such as generalization, comparison, semantic analysis, and systematization.
The value of this work lies in the fact that its content and main conclusions can serve as a foundational material for research in the field of linguistic stylistics. The article can be used in higher educational institutions for teaching the subjects Stylistics and Linguoculturology.
