THE RICHNESS OF THE WORD AND EFFICIENCY: THE USE OF SYNONYMS IN THE LANGUAGE OF PERIODICALS

Abstract

In Kazakh linguistics, in studies concerning lexicology, semasiology, lexicography, speech culture, the concepts of language richness and word richness are considered in close relationship with each other. The richness of a language is a set of different linguistic units (nominations, grammatical structures, images, expressive means, synonyms) They are the main sources for the transmission of oral and written information in the language system. In linguistics, the concepts of the richness of a language and the richness of a word are determined by the user's ability to rationally, skillfully, and effectively use the richness of their native language. The richness of the word is a reflection of these linguistic means in communicative communication. The richness of the word is closely related to such phenomena as stereotype, cliche, standard of word effectiveness, which are considered mainly in the theory of communication. In modern Kazakh written communication, including in the language of periodicals, contextual synonyms are widely used as one of the powerful foundations that contribute to the effectiveness of words (expressions).

The purpose of the study is to differentiate the concepts of language richness and word richness in linguistic science and to analyze contextual synonyms in the modern Kazakh periodical printed language from the point of view of the relation of words to word formation as one of the most obvious signs in the dynamics of the modern Kazakh language. The theoretical significance of the study is to demonstrate the importance of language processes and language development in modern Kazakh written communication, including in relation to the literary norm and language culture in the newspaper language, and from a practical point of view – to demonstrate the potential of the language user to use the richness of the language in accordance with the requirements of the culture of speech in written communication. The research work used methods of studying and generalizing scientific opinions, comparative analysis, lexical explanatory analysis. Attempts were made to distinguish similarities and differences between the two concepts, given the proximity of contextual synonyms in the language of periodicals with periphrases. Around this problem, they relied on the statements of specialists-researchers of the problems of speech culture and the norms of literary language, including scientists-lexicologists, semasiologists, lexicographers. In addition, the analysis, identification of the features and use of contextual synonyms in periodicals were carried out on the basis of the analysis of materials published in official Kazakh-language publications.
