Abstract

This article analyzes the animalistic vocabulary in Kazakh and English fairy tales. The purpose of the article is to identify linguocultural, cognitive–comparative characteristics of animalistic vocabulary, zoonyms in Kazakh and English fairy tales. The study of the vocabulary of the group "animal names", one of the richest and most diverse thematic groups in the world, reflecting traditions and customs, ethnic and cultural characteristics, and being part of the national linguistic image, has long been successfully carried out on the materials of various languages of the world. The scientific significance of the article is manifested in the consideration of the zoonyms "mouse", "hare", "wolf", "bear" on a practical basis, comparing and considering theoretical conclusions, relying on the works, opinions of researchers regarding animalistic vocabulary in the field of linguoculturology, cognitive linguistics. In the analysis of the problem, in the article under study, animal vocabulary, the works of zoonyms researchers, research articles were taken as a basis. In particular, the dissertation research of A. Kasymbekova, who studied the conceptual image in fairy tales, was examined. The classification system of S. Kaskabasov's fairy tales is considered. In the study of zoonyms, the opinions of researchers about zoonyms were taken as a basis. The main research methods of the article are implemented within the framework of methods of comparing the storyline of Kazakh and English fairy tales, linguistic and cultural analysis of the given zoonyms. In the main conclusion of the article, the animalistic vocabulary in Kazakh and English fairy tales was considered in parallel, the transfer of the zoonyms "mouse", "hare", "wolf", "bear" in linguistic units and compared with their characteristics in fairy tales. It was also found that fairy tales reflect national identity, expressed through descriptions. In Kazakh cognition, the zoonyms "bear" were analyzed, the meaning of which was changed in meaning, "wolf", "hare", "mouse", used in parallel with the positive-negative character.

The value of the article is manifested in the definition of linguocultural, cognitive-comparative characteristics of animalistic vocabulary in fairy tales in Kazakh and English, worldview, perception of the world of the population based on zoonyms. The practical basis of the article is the contribution to research in the fields of "Linguoculturology" and "Cognitive linguistics". The conclusions obtained as a result of the study can serve as an impetus to the study of linguistic and cultural analysis, animalistic vocabulary.
